Real Madrid 'keeper Iker Casillas has called for calm after the club's early elimination from the Copa del Rey last week.
The exit to minnows Alcorcon has renewed the pressure on coach Manuel Pellegrini, but Casillas has reminded the club's critics that it takes time to build a successful side.
"We need time, but that's hard to get here," he explained in an interview with Japanese TV channel Wowow "
"People want us to play well already, but it takes time. We have changed the players, the president and the coach. We must be calm "
On the subject of transfers, the 'keeper added that he was delighted to see a new influx of top class players after having played with the original Galacticos.
"To be able to see players like Cristiano [ Ronaldo] and Kaka gives even more hope to the players who are trained here " he indicated.
"I've seen [Zinedine] Zidane, [David] Beckham and [Luis] Figo, and they did great things. Hopefully [the new stars] will do the same."
