Real climbed to second with this win and pushed Racing closer to relegation.
Roberto Carlos put Real in front from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute, after Robinho was fouled in the area, and made a surging run to set up the second. His attempt was saved but Roberto Soldado scored as Raul fired the loose ball goalwards in the 60th minute.
Guti fed Robinho to score from the edge of the area ten minutes later, but that sparked a spirited fightback from the home side.
Racing midfielder Sergio Matabuena fired in a loose ball at a corner after 76 minutes, and in the final minute bundled in another loose ball as Real failed to clear a low free kick.

Alaves gave themselves renewed hope of avoiding the drop with a first win four outings coutesy of goals from strike pairing John Aloisi and Nene.
Australian international Aloisi opened the scoring when he slammed home with his left foot in the 19th minute after a fine cross from Nene. The Br azilian made sure of the win when he fired in at the far post nine minutes into the second half.
Alaves midfielder Quique de Lucas made his side work hard for the points though when he left his side with 10 men for the final half hour after he was sent off for an unnecessary foul on Betis defender Luis Fernandez just after the hour.
ATHLETIC BILBAO 1 REAL ZARAGOZA 0
Midfielder Fran Yeste earned Javier Clemente's Bilbao a priceless first win in six outings at San Mames when he drilled in from 12 metres out after striker Fernando Llorente had cut the ball into his path following a tremendous run along the byline 15 minutes from time.
ATLETICO MADRID 0 OSASUNA 1
Javier Aguirre's Osasuna bounced back from their weekend defeat at home to Real Madrid to beat Atletico at the Calderon and consolidate their fourth place in the standings.
Midfielder Inaki Munoz scored the winner after 16 minutes when he tucked a neat shot inside the post after he was given time and space by the Atletico defence.
The evening ended on a low note for a sorry-looking Atletico when playmaker Ariel Ibagaza was dismissed in injury time as his side waved goodbye to their chances of qualifying for Europe.
CADIZ 2 REAL SOCIEDAD 2
Cadiz kept their slim hopes of survival alive when they came from two goals down to scramble a 2-2 draw at home to fellow strugglers Sociedad.
Sociedad took an early lead when Xabi Prieto stabbed in on the volley after Gari Uranga had headed a free kick back across the area and fellow midfielder Gaizka Garitano made it 2-0 when he nodded in after a corner early in the second half.
But Uruguayan winger Fabian Estoyanoff sparked the Cadiz comeback when he scored midway through second half and Argentine striker Lucas Lobos
CELTA VIGO 0 BARCELONA 1
Barca went into halftime knowing that they had already won the title after Valencia's defeat at Mallorca, but they still managed to step up a gear and beat their high-flying rivals to wrap up their 18th Spanish championship.
Leading scorer Samuel Eto'o grabbed the winner nine minutes into the second half when he juggled the ball past two defenders and tucked the ball inside the post after a surging run by Mark van Bommel nine minutes.
ESPANYOL 1 DEPORTIVO CORUNA 2
Depor still have a faint chance of making Europe after this comeback win at Montjuic.
Striker Luis Garcia put the home side ahead when he sent a firm 20-metre drive skidding past Depor keeper Jose Molina two minutes from the break.
Ivan Carril pulled one back for Depor with a dipping shot a quarter of an hour from the end and fellow striker Diego Tristan grabbed the winner when he ended in from a corner a minute from time.
REAL MALLORCA 2 VALENCIA 1
Valencia waved goodbye to their remote chances of depriving Barca of the title as their five-match winning run came to an end at relegation-threatened Mallorca.
Mallorca were rewarded for their ambitious approach when Venezuelan striker Juan Arango steered past Santiago Canizares after Victor burst through two defenders in the ninth minute.
Valencia equalised eight minutes later when midfielder Miguel Angel Angulo steered in from 12 metres after David Villa's neat cut back from the byline.
But Italian defender Cristiano Doni earned the islanders a vital win two minutes into the second half when he volleyed home on the turn after defender David Cortes clipped a pass into the area.

UEFA Cup finalists Sevilla effectively ensured themselves of a place in next season's tournament with this emphatic win over Bernd Schuster's Getafe.
The Andalucians took the lead when Getafe centre-back Ruben Pulido headed the ball into his own net as he came under pressure from Javi Navarro after a free kick was whipped into the area.
Argentine international Javier Saviola added a second just after the half hour, pouncing after keeper Luis Garcia had spilled a shot and his Br azilian striker partner Luis Fabiano made it 3-0 when he nodded in at the near post after good work by Daniel Alves just before the break.
VILLARREAL 2 MALAGA 1
Villarreal ended their recent run of poor run with this win over already-relegated Malaga.
Mexico striker Guillermo Franco put Villarreal in front when he stabbed in a rebound after Cesar Arzo had hit the base of the post with a clever back-heel in the 11th minute.
Italian midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi made it 2-0 after another rebound, nodding in from three metres out after Jose Mari had hit the woodwork with a diving header.
Malaga pulled one back when Gerardo netted from the penalty spot midway through the first half after Javi Venta had pulled Br azilian defender Gabriel back in the area.
