Real Madrid has announced the permanent transfer of one of its players through an official statement published on Thursday afternoon in Spain.
"Real Madrid C. F. and U. D. Las Palmas have agreed to the transfer of the player Marvin Park," the statement began.
"Marvin Park arrived at our academy in 2016 at the age of 16. In 2020 he was proclaimed champion of the Youth League with our Juvenil A. He has played four games with Real Madrid's first team since he made his debut in September 2020 in an official match. During the last two seasons he has played on loan at U. D. Las Palmas."
"Real Madrid would like to express its gratitude and affection to Marvin and wishes him and his entire family the best of luck in this new stage," the correspondence concluded.
The deal sees Las Palmas exercising its option to make Marvin Park's loan in the 2023/2024 season permanent.
He arrived at the club that produced FC Barcelona midfielder Pedri in August 2022 while it was still in the Second Division, and scored his first professional goal on the 22nd of that month when Las Palmas beat Mallorca 4-0 away from home.
Marvin played an integral role in Las Palmas' return to the top tier by featuring in 24 matches across a successful promotion campaign.
Another 15 performances at the highest level followed last term, as Las Palmas saved itself from the drop by finishing in 16th two spots above the relegation zone.
In total, the 23-year-old has had 55 appearances in all competitions for a team he will next play for as a permanent member of his squad.
He has now officially waved goodbye to Madrid, where it is difficult for many young players to make an impact when considering the level of competition on show.
Marvin can play on the right wing, where at the Bernabeu he would possibly meet the likes of Ballon d'Or hopeful Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo considering the rejig that head coach Carlo Ancelotti will have to do with his first XI amid the arrival of Kylian Mbappe.
