Javier Saviola insists Real Madrid are every bit as good as great rivals Barcelona.
"By the quality of the players, there is no difference with Barcelona. We are first and Barcelona now have played some very good games, playing at a great level, but we have a quality that is threatening to show itself at anytime," said Saviola, who signed for Real on a Bosman in the summer from Barca.
"The results are happening for us, we win and are trying to play well, but the team is still in good spirits."
Saviola also backed coach Bernd Schuster's rotation policy.
"At any time, we all can play and it is important to be ready. Perhaps it is difficult to know when you are going to play, which is why you must train hard to be ready for your chance."
