Bernd Schuster is not the only man that Real Madrid fans see as responsible for the current problems at the club; sporting director Predrag Mijatovic was jeered when he arrived for a B team game.
Los Merengues plunged further into what the media now believe is a crisis and the focus has been on the coach and how he could well be removed this week to ease the tension.
But the club's supporters do not hold Schuster entirely responsible and believe that the people behind the scenes should be held accountable for their actions.
Mijatovic arrived at Madrid's second string game against Atlético B on Sunday and whistled at and heckled for over a minute before the end of the game for his role in the turmoil.
The sporting director looked very uncomfortable to have been picked out as he watched the game alongside directors Carlos Bucero and Javier Lozano.
Along with the whistles, shouts of 'fuera, fuera' (out, out) were made, while people also made it clear that they felt Mijatovic was to blame for Robinho's exit and the failure to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
Schuster is not the man that everyone blames, despite what the Madrid-biased media report and along with president Ramón Calderón's popularity dropping further, other members of his board are being held responsible.
Real Madrid are still in the top four and are just five points behind leaders Barça, but successive Champions League defeats, the embarrassing Copa del Rey exit and defeat at Real Valladolid on Saturday have increased the feeling of anxiety at the Bernabéu.
