The injury crisis just keeps getting worse at Real Madrid, with the latest news being that midfielder Mahamadou Diarra will be out for at least a month and a half following tests on his knee.
Christmas might be approaching but Real Madrid don't seem to be getting too much goodwill at the moment, with the injury list building up each week.
The latest player on the treatment table is midfielder Mahamadou Diarra, after he underwent tests on a knee injury that turned out to be more serious than expected.
According to AS the Malian international will now be out for at least a month and a half and along with him German defender, Christoph Metzelder, is out after injuring himself in training.
Metzelder might not have been in coach Bernd Schuster's plans as of yet but his knock, which will keep him out of the weekend match with Sevilla definitely, is another blow to the side.
The good news for Los Blancos is that three of the injured players, Gonzalo Higuaín, Arjen Robben and Fabio Cannavaro, all trained normally today. The likelihood now is that as long as they do not have any more inconviences during the week they will be fit to play in the key match this Sunday.
