Cristiano Ronaldo's former Manchester United team-mate Patrice Evra has told the French press that suggestions that the Real Madrid superstar is arrogant are wide of the mark.
"Some say that he is arrogant, but for nothing. It's because of his fashion-boy image," Evra told L'Equipe.
"Frankly, he is the most professional player that I have played with. He can never have enough. He wants to be the best at everything - he hates to lose even at ping pong."
"He's a really nice guy. He loves to joke around, but he also likes to keep to himself in his room."
"Cristiano was training more and more each time - every time he had more hunger. He wanted to be better every day. I don't know what will happen at Real Madrid, but I guess the same thing."
