Real Madrid midfielder, who scored in yesterday's match against Almeria, hopes that Espanyol will be able to take Barcelona to task tomorrow evening and also tipped the Merengues to beat Valencia on Sunday.
"Normally, we are very strong at home and we have won almost all our matches; we only lost against Barca. We are not scared of anyone and even less so when we play in the Bernabeu," said the Dutchman in comments reported by Marca. "It will be a difficult match, but we need to win and I believe we can play well."
Van der Vaart also warned of Valencia's talent, recognising that it would be a "complicated match" given that "Valencia have three or four very good players in attack".
Furthermore, Van der Vaart is hoping for an Espanyol victory against the Blaugrana in tomorrow's Barcelona derby.
"For us it is very important that Espanyol win. It is a derbi and they are always special matches. Tomorrow I will be an Espanyol fan. In the match against Barca we had three or four chances at a goal and logically when we don't score, we don't win. Barca always have a lot of chances and they do not miss," he concluded.
