Real Madrid legend Hugo Sanchez would understand if Raul chose to leave the club this summer.
Raul may have played his last game for Real after suffering a season-ending injury on the weekend.
Sanchez told AS: "I suggest as a colleague and with my experience that next year he goes where he knows he will feel more comfortable and more excited. Raul needs more motivation than he has now."
"What is clear is that Raul is a winner and I value the personal over the professional. Everything depends on whether Raul agrees to stay and play little or now prefers to take another experience and feel important again to demonstrate his standing and worth."
