Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho will make a personal pitch to Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas to join him in Spain.
Mourinho will join Barcelona in a tug-of-war for the midfield maestro, who has made 242 starts for the Gunners since signing as a 17-year-old in 2003.
Real will bid £35million, or they could offer defender Ezequiel Garay, midfielders Lassana and Mahamadou Diarra or Fernando Gago in part-exchange.
A club insider told The Sun: " Mourinho has decided to convince Cesc personally he can be the next leader of the team."
