Real Madrid say Bale injury not serious

Real Madrid insist Gareth Bale's calf injury is not serious.

Real say the Welshman could make their clash with Valencia this weekend.

A Madrid statement read: "Following the MRI scan carried out on Gareth Bale this morning by the Real Madrid Sanitas Medical Services, it has been confirmed that he only has an inflamed left calf muscle as a result of the knock he got from a team-mate in training yesterday."

"His participation in Sunday's match against Valencia has not been ruled out."
