Cristiano Ronaldo is hoping to defy Champions League with Real Madrid history this season.
The Spanish giants won their 10th European cup last term and after beating Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield on Wednesday night, Ronaldo sees no reason why Carlo Ancelotti’s men cannot become the first club to defend their Champions League title.
"Why not? We are thinking step by step, we know qualification is the priority of the team but we are going to try like last year," the Portugal ace told Sky Sports.
"We know it’s going to be very tough but we are positive and I think it will be possible if we play like that."
Real Madrid currently sit at the top of the Group B table with nine points from three matches, having scored 10 goals and conceding just two.
