Cristiano Ronaldo will play in Los Angeles according to recent reports.
SI.com’s Grant Wahl suggests that the Real Madrid superstar will make the move to MLS when his contract with the Spanish giants expires in 2018.
Now it has been revealed that Portugal international Ronaldo, 30, is specifically targeting LA as his preferred destination meaning he will either link up with current MLS champions LA Galaxy or debut for expansion franchise LAFC who are set to join the league in three years’ time.
LAFC, which was announced as a new MLS franchise in October last year, was tipped to start play in 2017 but it is believed that they will be pushed back to the following year after Atlanta and Minnesota United enter the competition.
