According to Spanish website AS, Martin Ødegaard could be ready to set a new Real Madrid record this Saturday in the final La Liga match of the season.
FC Barcelona have secured the title ahead of Los Blancos, which has meant that Real’s final game of the season against Getafe is largely meaningless.
With the luxury of playing a game without too much pressure, Carlo Ancelotti, who could well be managing from the Real dugout for the final time this weekend, is being tipped to hand a gift to the hugely talked-about Norwegian teenager.
At 16 years old and 156 days, Ødegaard is in line for his Real Madrid first team debut v Getafe, to become the youngster ever player for the club.
Its worth erring on the side of caution, however, as Ødegaard came close to making his debut a few weeks back when he was named on the sub’s bench against Almeria. On that day, however, he never made it out onto the pitch.
