Martin Odegaard made history with Real Madrid after making his debut in their 7-3 thrashing of Getafe.
Odegaard replaced Cristiano Ronaldo in the 57th minute of the match against Getafe and in the process became the youngest La Liga debutant in Real Madrid's history, the Norwegian midfielder claiming the record at the age of 16 years and 157 days.
"I was a little bit nervous about playing in front of so many people, but I tried to enjoy the moment," he said.
"It's a special day, I feel very proud and very happy. I've had a really good time in my first season at Real Madrid and I've felt very comfortable."
