Iker Casillas' time at Real Madrid could be at an end when Manchester United keeper David de Gea arrives at the Bernabeu, according to reports in Spain.
For the last few seasons Casillas and another keeper have been able to survive in tandem, with Casillas playing in the Champions League in 2013/14 and La Liga last season, while Diego Lopez and then Kelyor Navas held down the spot in the other competition.
But new manager Rafa Benitez will pick one first-choice goalkeeper and stick with him for all competitions, according to Spanish paper Marca.
That means if Real, as expected, sign De Gea this summer, Casillas will be allowed to leave, with another Madrid-based paper, AS, claiming Roma is his destination.
The Spanish keeper's agent is quoted in the paper saying of the Italian club: 'They're one of the best in Europe'.
Elsewhere in Spain, Barcelona's pursuit of Paul Pogba continues to dominate the headlines, with Mundo Deportivo and Sport variously reporting bids of €80m (£56m) and €90m (£64m) for the Juventus midfielder.
In Italy the focus is on Juventus, with Corriere dello Sport claiming the Old Lady need Chelsea's Oscar to save them after the departures of Carlos Tevez and Andrea Pirlo.
The paper also links Juve to Real Madrid's Isco, while Arsenal are apparently preparing a bid for Arturo Vidal as the exodus from Turin continues.
La Gazzetta dello Sport however is more optimistic about the state of Italian football claiming that Serie A is returning to the top, having already spent €266m (£188m), more than any other country in Europe.
