No Ramos, no Marcelo.
Real Madrid released the squad list for Wednesday's Champions League match against Shakhtar.
Goalkeepers: Keylor Navas, Casilla and Rubén Yáñez.
Defenders: Varane, Pepe, Nacho, Carvajal and Danilo.
Midfielders: Kroos, James, Bale, Casemiro, Kovacic, Modric, Cheryshev and Isco.
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Lucas Vázquez and Jesé.
Ramos and Marcelo will not be available so Cheryshev and Nacho are back in the list. It will be very interesting to see what Benítez does with his starting XI after what happened last Saturday against Barcelona. Will Casemiro start again? Could Isco play instead of Bale, Benzema or Ronaldo?
Carvajal should also be expected to start. Danilo was the man playing in the left flank when Marcelo was taken off and even if Nacho plays there against Shakhtar, Carvajal is in better form than Danilo and he should be the primary option for the right-back position.
This will be an important match for Real Madrid if they want to secure the first spot in their Group.
