Zlatan Ibrahimovic wants shock Real Madrid move

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – a free agent in the summer – has his eyes set on making a sensational move to Spanish giants, Real Madrid, report Okdiario. The big Swede had earlier this year suggested that he'd finally consider joining one of the Premier League big boys but has reportedly always dreamed of playing for the 10-times Champions League winners.

His contract with Paris Saint-Germain ends this summer and wants to play under French and Madrid legend, Zinedine Zidane. Director of Okdiario, Eduardo Inda said, “Ibrahimovic has offered himself to Zidane — not to Real Madrid, but Zidane.

"It would be the dream of Real Madrid, the dream of Real Madrid and dream of the player himself."

"He is an absolute genius, one of the best that football has."

"It has been offered through a friend of Zidane and has said he wants to fulfil his dream of playing for Real Madrid."

Ibrahimovic – who rejected joining Arsenal in his younger years – cited that the Premier League was a destination he's beginning to consider and given the lack of world-class strikers in England, his arrival would be a huge boost for whatever team he joins and the league as a whole. A global superstar of his level in the biggest and most competitive league in the world is a dream for the Premier League.

Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal (again) have been linked with signing the Swede but if these comments and rumours are true, Zlatan would be joining the likes of Luis Figo, Ronaldo, Luis Enrique and Samuel Eto’o who played for both Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Zlatan played with Barcelona from 2009 to 2011 and left the club after a series of bitter fallouts with then-manager, Pep Guardiola. With a rising Lionel Messi, the Swede saw himself shunned out wide to accommodate the young Argentine – that is often cited by many people as the reason he left the Catalans.

At Real Madrid, Zlatan would essentially replace Karim Benzema at the centre of the front-three with Cristiano Ronaldo on the left wing and Gareth Bale on the right.
