The front page of Spanish paper Marca on Wednesday sends out a strong message in the direction of the King Power Stadium.
Real Madrid are in the market for Foxes’ workhorse N’Golo Kante.
Marca make it clear on their front page splash that Real’s interest in the French international midfielder comes from manager Zinedine Zidane, and not, for example, from president Florentino Perez.
The Spanish confirm the widely know point, that Kante has a 25 million euro release clause in the Leicester contract.
In what may prove to be a turn off for Kante, Marca detail that Zidane see the Leicester man as someone who can challenge Casemiro in the holding midfield role in the Los Blancos team.
Casemiro is currently the only real option in that position for Madrid.
The article tails off by noting that PSG are also in the running for Kante’s signature this summer.
