Real Madrid‘s policy of recruiting former players is set to continue as David Beckham is reportedly set to become a club ambassador.
According to Marca, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez considers the 41-year-old as the ideal person to have on the books as the club looks to improve their reputation in the MLS and the former Manchester United winger spent five years with LA Galaxy.
Furthermore, the reigning champions of Europe are keen to bring back the main bulk of Perez’ Galacticos signings during his first reign at the club as Luis Figo, Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos have returned while Zinedine Zidane is in his first full season as manager.
Beckham joined Madrid from United in the 2003 summer transfer window and went on to lift the La Liga title as well as the Supercopa de Espana once before departing for the bright lights of the United States in 2007.
He enjoyed loan spells with AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain before bringing an end to a playing career that stretched to over two decades in 2013.
