It's a quiet day for Real Madrid which is why several pages of the sports press in the city are dedicated to 22-year-old midfielder Marcos Llorente and 20-year-old defender Jesus Vallejo.
Both will return from loan spells at the end of the season – from Alaves and Eintracht Frankfurt respectively – and have a big future at Real Madrid.
Vallejo will replace Pepe who is off to China on a free at the end of the season. The 34-year-old could even join former boss Manuel Pellegrini at Hebei Fortune although Luiz Felipe Scolari’s Guangzhou are also interested.
Llorente, a central midfielder, has earned his first international call-up this season - for the Spanish Under 21s, and has enjoyed regular first-team football with Alaves, with 21 appearances across the board.
He is set to act as cover for Casemiro under Zinedine Zidane from next season.
Vallejo, who signed a six-year contract 18 months ago, has made 18 appearances so far in the Bundesliga this season and will bolster Madrid's ranks in the next campaign.
