Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has opened up on his future after football, admitting a presidential role with Los Blancos is 'an option'.
The 31-year-old has been a driving force from the back for the Madrid for the majority of his career, and is hoping to lead his side to both La Liga and Champions League glory this season.
With the future in mind, Ramos admits he has plenty of time left but can see himself remaining in Madrid to continue playing a role for the Galacticos.
Answering fans questions via social media platform Twitter in celebration of reaching 10million followers, Ramos was asked whether he could see himself taking up a presidential role with the club.
"Ha ha ha ha, you never know, but at the moment I do not see myself [in that role]," the centre back replied.
"Here is still a lot of time and there is nothing decided but it is an option."
"There are a few seasons left, but… I would love to retire in Madrid ... We'll see," he added.
Ramos and Madrid are still gunning for domestic glory after effortlessly brushing aside Deportivo La Coruna this week, though the club captain had to watch from afar following his recent red card.
Ramos served suspension following his dismissal during the El Clasico clash with Barcelona, in which he received a straight red card for a lunge on Lionel Messi.
The Spaniard will return to action sooner than expected however, after the referee Hernandez Hernandez did not include Ramos' sarcastic clapping in his report of the incident.
As a result Ramos is set to return to action when Madrid next turn out against Valencia on Saturday at the Bernabeu.
