Kylian Mbappe has declared he only wants to join Real Madrid - or stay at Monaco.
Mbappe is the hottest striker in world football right now after hitting 24 goals for Monaco last season.
The 18-year-old was instrumental as Leonardo Jardim’s side beat Paris Saint-Germain to win Ligue 1 and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Arsenal and Liverpool are also in the race for Mbappe, who has four caps for France.
But according to Spanish sports paper Marca, Mbappe has decided he is only prepared to leave Monaco in order to join Real Madrid.
"Real Madrid or no one," the teenager apparently said to Monaco president Dmitri Rybolovlev when they met in Palma de Mallorca on Thursday.
Mbappe’s father would prefer him to join Paris Saint-Germain, keeping him in his homeland.
But the graduate of famous French academy Clairefontaine pictures himself wearing the white of Real Madrid only if he leaves the Stade Louis II.
Real initially planned to sign Mbappe this summer but allow him to remain at Monaco for another year to continue his development.
However, they could accelerate the Frenchman’s arrival because of Cristiano Ronaldo’s potential exit.
Ronaldo stunned Real Madrid on Friday with reports claiming he has decided to leave Spain because of a tax dispute.
Either way Mbappe will cost at least £87.4million (€100m), making it likely he eclipses Paul Pogba’s £89m fee and becomes the world’s most expensive player.
Arsenal are believed to have had an £87m bid for Mbappe rejected as Arsene Wenger looks to break his own transfer record.
