Cristiano Ronaldo wants Real Madrid to sign Gelson Martins this summer, it’s been claimed by the Spanish Media.
Ronaldo, 32, is thought to be weighing up his Real Madrid future.
The Portugal star has been accused of tax evasion in Spain, something he denies, and doesn’t think his club have supported him amid the allegations.
That’s left him considering an exit from the Bernabeu, with moves to former club Manchester United and Paris St-Germain being touted.
But Spanish media claim if Real listen to his demands in the transfer market, he might be happier to stick it out in Madrid.
Diario Gol claim Ronaldo wants Florentino Perez to sign Portugal team-mate Gelson Martins from Sporting.
The 22-year-old scored six goals and provided 14 assists the Portuguese top flight last season.
And Ronaldo wants him to play a back-up role at the Bernabeu.
The acquisition of Martins could be a problem though as Real Madrid have already been linked with a move to a winger this off-season, Monaco star Kylian Mbappe, who will likely command a massive transfer fee.
That might not give Perez much budget to play with when it comes to signing other forwards.
