Casemiro: Neymar should join Real Madrid

Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has said that compatriot Neymar should leave Barcelona to join Los Blancos.

Neymar’s future is still unclear despite team-mate Gerard Pique tweeting out a photo of the pair hinting that the forward would stay after intense reports over his future.

Casemiro was asked about Neymar’s future by Globo and said that Neymar should emulate Figo by crossing the great Barcelona/Real divide.

"Neymar will tell you his future ... he knows what he has to do, why not play here at Real Madrid? Here he would be welcome"

Of course Casemiro was most likely joking but you’d have to imagine Florentino Perez would love this sort of PR given how it would boost Real and damage Barcelona.

Casemiro added that he hasn’t had a chance to talk to Neymar but believes his international team-mate will make the right decision.

“I have not spoken lately with Neymar, but I wish him well. Neymar is a great player, I have a great admiration for him.

“He knows what he does, he is well advised, his father is a great person and he knows what he is doing. If he leaves Barcelona I wish him all the luck in the world, and if he stays, as well. Neymar is very important for the selection of Br azil, we always have his best football.”
