Reigning Spanish and European champions Real Madrid started their season with a real statement of intent by demolishing Deportivo La Coruna 3-0 on Sunday night.
And if the scoreline wasn't ominous enough, Zinedine Zidane's side have now started conjuring up goals involving 44-pass moves involving the entire team.
Casemiro's finish for Real's second goal - after 26 minutes at the Riazor - may have been a tap-in but it was the culmination of a patient string of passes from one six-yard box to the other.
The 44-pass move began when goalkeeper Keylor Navas was played the ball by Toni Kroos and then found Casemiro about 30 yards from his own goal.
That began a sequence of keep-ball, with Deportivo unable to get a touch as the ball was worked through every single member of the Real team.
Eventually, Isco located Marcelo on the left via a touch from Karim Benzema and his cross was just enough in front of the bamboozled Deportivo defence for Casemiro to ghost in and finish.
The strike - which featured the highest number of passes in the build-up of any La Liga goal of the past decade - put Real firmly in control of their opening league fixture.
Gareth Bale had already handed them the lead seven minutes earlier and Kroos rounded off a comfortable evening's work with the third just after the hour mark.
Even the stoppage time sending off of Sergio Ramos couldn't ruin what was an ominously clinical performance by the pre-season title favourites.
With their main rivals Barcelona is apparent disarray following the departure of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain, the title - and possibly the Champions League as well - is very much Real's to lose.
And if they continue mimicking Barca's tiki-taka style to score goals like this, it could well be a procession.
