Zinedine Zidane has defended Cristiano Ronaldo after Real Madrid were beaten 1-0 by Real Betis.
Antonio Sanabria scored a 94th-minute winner as Betis won at the Bernabeu for the first time in 19 years.
The match marked Ronaldo's return from a five-match domestic suspension.
The attacker picked up the ban after pushing referee Ricardo de Burgos Bengoetxea in Los Blancos’ 3-1 Spanish Super Cup victory over Barcelona last month.
But Ronaldo and his team-mates couldn't find the net as Madrid fell seven points behind their Catalan rivals.
Speaking after the game, Zidane defended his star man.
"No [complaints], nothing," he insisted when asked about Ronaldo's performance "
"On the contrary, quite the contrary "
"We are happy to have Cristiano with us and for him to be in the team "
"We had 26 or 27 chances, today the ball did not want to go in, especially here, in our home stadium "
"I love this word, tranquility. We are going to have tranquility "
"We will be calm "
Madrid will hope to turn around their shaky form away to Alaves this weekend.
Borussia Dortmund await in the Champions League next week.
The back-to-back European champions head to Germany on Tuesday.
And the Frenchman admitted his side were unlucky not to come away with a win.
"This is football, when the ball just did not want to go in, this can happen," he added.
