Real Madrid hero Cristiano Ronaldo insists his side fear nobody in the Champions League - especially not French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
The La Liga side have dominated Europe in recent years, lifting the trophy in three of the last four seasons.
The defence of their title hasn’t exactly gone to plan though, with Zinedine Zidane’s men earning a solitary point from their last two games, both against Premier League side Tottenham.
PSG are among the favourites for the competition this year, having spent a fortune during the summer to bring in Neymar from Barcelona and Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe.
But despite the Ligue 1 club’s shrewd recruitment, Portuguese star Ronaldo is adamant that his side should be the team everybody wants to avoid.
"I'm not afraid of PSG," he told L'Equipe.
"We're the defending champions, two years in a row, we have to respect that."
"We would prefer to finish first in the group, but the most important thing first of all is qualification."
Ronaldo has reportedly told officials he wants to leave the club at the end of the season so he’ll be keen to add another Champions League medal to his collection before he bows out.
Real Madrid are currently second in Group H, three points behind Tottenham with two games to play.
PSG have already qualified for the knockout stage, having won every game so far without conceding a goal.
Both sides are back in European action next week.
Real travel to Apoel Nicosia on Tuesday while PSG host Celtic on Wednesday.
