Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos has told club transfer chiefs to sign Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso this summer.
The Stamford Bridge ace has been instrumental for the Blues following his move from Fiorentina in 2016.
Alonso, 27, guided Antonio Conte’s men to the Premier League title last time out.
The Blues have struggled this season but Alonso has been a stand-out performer, with the Spain international being named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.
And according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, who are well known for their stunning transfer claims, Alonso has caught the eye of Real Madrid.
They say Real captain Ramos has told club chiefs to sign the Chelsea key man this summer.
Ramos reckons the left-back is the ideal signing to give competition for places at the Bernabeu.
Real star Marcelo is Zinedine Zidane’s only real option at left-back.
Alonso is currently serving a three-match ban for stamping on Shane Long in Chelsea’s 3-2 win at Southampton last weekend.
The defender will return against Liverpool on Sunday, May 6.
The Blues are back in action on Sunday afternoon when Conte’s men face Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley (3pm kick-off).
