Roma Coach Eusebio Di Francesco has called Real Madrid ‘a team of champions’ following his side’s 3-0 reverse in the Spanish capital.
Goals from Isco, Gareth Bale and Mariano Diaz sealed a comfortable win for the European champions, who accumulated 30 efforts on goal during the match.
"I expected Real Madrid to be this good, they are a team of champions," Di Francesco told reporters, as cited by Marca.
"A lot has been said about Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure but if I supported Madrid, I would not be at all concerned by his exit because they have many more star players."
"They are one of the few teams who could develop without him ( Ronaldo) and they have shown their abundance of quality to compensate for his exit."
" Luka Modric? He was extraordinary, you only need to look at his performances in the World Cup, but I think he is one of just many Madrid players on that level."
"Our 4-3-3 formation? We lost many individual duels and we were subsequently punished because of the opposition, but we must seek to have continuity in our style."
