Santiago Solari has been appointed Real Madrid head coach on a permanent basis, the club has announced.
Solari, who was the coach of the club's B team,'Castilla', was named caretaker coach following the sacking of Julen Lopetegui last month, guiding the team to four consecutive wins.
Following his successful start the club have offered him the job on a permanent basis and he has now signed on a three-year deal to 2021.
"The Board of Directors of Real Madrid CF, meeting today November 13, 2018, has agreed to the appointment of Santiago Solari as coach of the first team until June 30, 2021," Madrid stated on their official website.
Real were ninth when Solari took charge with the club moving up to sixth, four points behind leaders Barcelona, while he has also recorded wins in the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
