Jesus Vallejo has used this FIFA break to recover from his injuries and is now training with the rest of the Real Madrid squad, meaning that he should be available to play very soon, right when coach Santiago Solari needs him the most.
Vallejo is yet to make his season debut with the team this season and seems to get injured about every time he steps on the pitch. He’s a promising defender but he can’t stay healthy and that could ultimately force Madrid’s hand next summer when they build the squad for the 2019-20 season.
For the moment, Solari will be able to use Vallejo now that Varane and Nacho can’t play. It’s not clear whether the new coach will decide to trust him given that he has not played a single minute this season.
Real Madrid will face Eibar in La Liga next Saturday. They are currently four points behind Barcelona in the table.
