Real Madrid star Isco and new manager Santiago Solari are enduring a fractious relationship which resulted in the player being dropped for the Champions League, according to reports in Spain.
Isco, previously a regular starter for club and country, refused to shake hands with Solari after Real's 3-0 defeat at Eibar at the weekend, according to Marca.
This resulted in Solari leaving Isco out of his squad entirely for the victory over Roma on Tuesday evening, with the player watching from the stands.
Isco was left on the bench against Eibar and only brought on after the hour mark, by which time Real were already 3-0 down.
Marca report that Solari - recently appointed as the permanent boss having taken the job in a caretaker role following the sacking of Julen Lopetegui - is still considering Isco for selection in the upcoming La Liga meeting with Valencia.
However the pair's relationship is said to remain cold, with Mundo Deportivo referring to it as a 'ticking time bomb' in the Bernabeu dressing room.
Mundo also report that Isco is unhappy with Solari's training methods, while the coach does not think the player puts enough effort into the sessions.
Isco has seen his game time reduced since Solari replaced Lopetegui - he has only played 79 minutes in total under the current manager.
Under Lopetegui, he started eight out of the 14 matches with the ex-Spain boss in charge, coming on as a substitute in the other two.
He is yet to start a game under former Real player Solari, with just three sub showings in the current coach's six matches at the helm.
