Real Madrid boss breaks silence amid word-record deal rumours

Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari has said he’s ’satisfied’ with Isco amid growing speculation that Chelsea and Manchester City could swoop.

Los Blancos defeated Valencia in La Liga las night with a comfortable 2-0 win.

An eighth-minute Daniel Wass own goal and Lucas Vazquez's late strike earned Solari his sixth victory in seven.

Isco, who has barely featured during Solari’s short tenure, made a 10 minute cameo.

Speaking after the clash, Solari said: "Satisfied with him [ Isco] and with everyone."

When asked about Real’s overall performance he added: "We have done very well, we have come out very concentrated and intense."

“We have controlled the game and we have always looked for the goal "

“The performances of the players have been excellent."

“The opponent was very tough, he made things complicated for us, but we knew how to control them perfectly "

Isco was an important player during Zinedine Zidane’s time in the Real hot seat.

However, he has been slipping further down the pecking order.

Rumours have been rife that the playmaker and Solari are barely on speaking terms.

Amid the reported turmoil, Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City are keen.

Spanish daily OK Diario have suggested that Isco won’t be allowed to leave on the cheap though.

Real - somewhat optimistically - have told potential suitors that they must pay his £620m release clause.

It appears highly unlikely that any club would stump up even a quarter of the mammoth asking price.

Florentino Perez, however, has now made it clear that any negotiations with cash rich City and Chelsea will be tough.

Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda reckons a move to England is a distinct possibility.

He said: "They [Real Madrid] consider that Isco is not involved in the group, that he is doing his thing, that he is having problems with his weight… so he is thinking of going to the Premier League "

"He has an offer from Chelsea and another from Pep Guardiola at Manchester City "

"I think that in a style of play like City’s he could do very well "

" Cristiano Ronaldo did not like to play with him because he said he kept the game a lot "

Real full-back Marcelo has urged Isco to keep working hard at the Bernabeu.

He said: "[I’m] not good at giving advice, but it is clear that all players want to play, but it's time to work "

"I'm not saying Isco does not work, but football is like that "

"You have to see what does not come out and try to improve."
