Eden Hazard is reportedly being targeted by Real Madrid again.
The Belgian was heavily linked with a switch to the Bernabeu during the summer as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
But despite making it clear he wanted to join Real, Hazard stayed put at Stamford Bridge and is thriving in an attacking system under new boss Maurizio Sarri.
The 27-year-old is out of contract in 2020 and despite being offered fresh terms, he’s stalling on putting pen to paper on a new deal.
Real are struggling this season and currently find themselves fourth in La Liga.
The Spaniards will likely look to utilise the transfer market when the window opens in January.
And reports in Spain have suggested Hazard is high on their list of targets.
According to OK Diario, Los Blancos are considering a swoop and will use Spain international Isco as a makeweight in a swap deal.
The report claims that the 26-year-old has become a problem in the dressing room.
Isco is believed to have an attitude issue and the last straw appears to have been ‘challenging his team-mates and fans’ during Wednesday’s humiliating Champions League defeat to CSKA Moscow.
Chelsea are desperate to hang on to Hazard as they plot a return to the top four.
But they may look to cash in before he enters the last year of his contract to avoid the worrying prospect of losing him for free.
Hazard insists he is happy in west London for the time being.
