Man United told Paul Pogba wants Real Madrid move

Andrei Kanchelskis believes Man United record signing Paul Pogba is angling for a move to Real Madrid.

The France international has struggled to produce consistent performances in the Manchester United team this season to prompt criticism of the club record signing.

Pogba was left out of the Manchester United starting line-up for two Premier League fixtures as the Red Devils were held to a 2-2 draw with Arsenal before a 4-1 win over Fulham.

The 25-year-old returned to the Manchester United team for their Champions League clash at Valencia last Wednesday night but the Red Devils lost 2-1 to the La Liga side.

Pogba has been linked with a potential move to Serie A champions Juventus, having spent four seasons in Turin before his return to Manchester United in 2016.

The Manchester United record signing scored in a 4-2 victory over Croatia in the World Cup final but Pogba has failed to kick on from that result.

Former Red Devils star Kanchelskis believes World Cup winner Pogba will look to move to Champions League holders Real Madrid in the summer.

"I think Paul Pogba will be seeking a move to Real Madrid this summer," Kanchelskis told bWIN.

"I don’t think his style of play is suited for the Premier League, and we will see his brilliance in the Italian or Spanish league."

"He may not suit the Barcelona style of play, but he’s perfect for Real Madrid. He’ll be able to express himself more freely on the field for them."

"Pogba has failed to show consistency with his performances since joining United and it’s time for a change."

"If Pogba wants to go down as a great, he needs to find a team that suits his play. Maradona never found his feet properly at Barcelona, but turned in to a world beater at Napoli and I think this could be the same for Pogba."

Manchester United have failed to win the Premier League since Pogba’s return to the Red Devils, despite finishing in second place last term.

Pogba has only managed to get his hands on the Europa League and the League Cup since his move back to Old Trafford almost 30 months ago.
