Bayern Munich midfielder James Rodriguez has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool.
According to claims made by the Mirror, Rodriguez is unlikely to complete a permanent move to join the German champions, with the player unhappy in the Bundesliga.
The player’s long-term future has been thrown into doubt, with Rodriguez also not needed at his parent club Real Madrid.
Bayern have the option to sign the player permanently as part of the two-year loan deal that was agreed between both clubs, but Rodriguez has endured a tricky relationship with Niko Kovac and has failed to break into his side on a regular basis this season.
It is claimed that Arsenal are leading the race to sign the Colombian, but a move to Anfield is not being ruled out at this stage.
Having spent time in Portugal, France, Spain and now Germany, the Premier League could be the next destination for the midfield maestro.
