Real Madrid deadline day plans: Potential transfers in and out at the Bernabeu

Real Madrid are unlikely to conduct any business on deadline day and are waiting for the summer transfer window to make their next moves.

That is despite the Spanish giants struggling for the most of this season on and off the field.

The European champions find themselves way off the pace in La Liga and are already 10 points behind champions Barcelona and five behind Atletico Madrid.

While they are through to the last-16 of the Champions League once again and remain in the Copa del Rey, they have not replaced talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, who left in the summer for Juventus.

Real have been linked with several top players as they look to replace the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s goals, but nothing concrete has materialised.

It is claimed that Real Madrid have their sights on Luka Jovic despite the 21-year-old being expected to join Eintracht Frankfurt.

Jovic is on loan at the German club from Benfica, though there is an option for Eintracht to buy the forward.

He has scored 18 goals in 25 games with five of those strikes coming in the Europa League.

Frankfurt are likely to trigger their £7m option-to-buy for the Serbian before selling him on for handsome profit.

It has been reported that Real are not willing to give up their efforts to sign Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.

The 21–year-old was then open to a possible move abroad as he grew unhappy under the regime of Jose Mourinho but he seems much happier with Ole Gunnar Solksjaer at the helm.

The Norwegian has favoured the England international to Romelu Lukaku through the middle and he has been scoring for fun ever since.

But Real see Rashford as a long-term signing and are said to be willing to pay up to £100m for the forward and pay him £250,000-a-week in wages.

With Karim Benzema coming to the end of his time at the Bernabeu, Rashford would be an ideal replacement.

Whether or not a deal could be negotiated with Manchester United however, remains to be seen.

Real Madrid also want Eden Hazard to join with the Chelsea star having revealed he is keen to play for Los Blancos.

The Belgium international has been linked with a move to Spain for some time but no bids have ever come in for him.

Chelsea want their star player to stay at Stamford Bridge but with his contract still not renewed and Cristian Pulisic due to arrive from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, it might be time to cash in.

And transfer expert Guillem Balague believes the Belgian is just waiting for Real to open negotiations.

He said on the Guillem Balague Transfer Show: “If Eden Hazard was absolutely focused at Chelsea, because you think you’re going to be there for 10 years, I think we’d see more consistent form from Hazard.

"And more respect towards the manager in terms of what he does on the pitch."

" Hazard is his own man, Sarri wants him to do a certain job so they’re both not finding common ground right now but Hazard - if he thinks he’s going to be there 10 years - will listen and perhaps apply that to his football."

"I think he is obviously waiting for Real Madrid to start negotiations with Chelsea."
