Real Madrid make a huge decision regarding their transfer business

Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane have made a huge decision regarding the club’s transfer business which will be partaken during the summer.

Real Madrid are in need of a huge squad revamp and that has been imminent since the last few months. In the month of March, they bid farewell to the Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League in a couple of days after being kicked out of the competitions by Barcelona and Ajax Amsterdam respectively.

Zinedine Zidane has acknowledged that changes are necessary in the squad and he will be leading the rollout of some new members during the next summer. As reported by the MARCA, the Whites have decided who they want in the transfer window and prioritized upon Eden Hazard’s name for the summer.

The Chelsea winger is closing in on a transfer to Spain’s capital and it could be announced even before the season ends as Real Madrid hope to agree upon a 100 million euros’ transfer price. With Hazard’s move imminent and the likes of Eder Militao and Rodrygo Goes already set to land in Madrid during the summer, the club will not go crazy with their targets.

From now on, the club will look at the economic point of view regarding the transfers and not unnecessarily spend money just for the sake of it. If a player fits into the squad, he will be signed and will be paid handsomely. However, no futile demands will be paid heed to and Sergio Ramos will continue being the highest earner in the team.

Luka Jovic is close to signing for Real Madrid and the Serbia international’s signing could pacify the Whites’ hunger for a goal scoring player. MARCA reports that the Eintracht Frankfurt man could be signed for close to 60 million euros and the Merengues may help him become compatible with Karim Benzema in the frontline.

While Paul Pogba is an obsession for Zinedine Zidane, the club does not feel the need to sign the Frenchman for a very high cost. They believe that the Barcelona tie was evidence that Pogba is inconsistent and not capable of making a vast difference to the extent of the media’s hype. His ability is acknowledged, but his potential signing still isn’t.

The case will be similar to Christian Eriksen, who commands a price tag of 120 million euros. Real Madrid will take their time in making a call regarding the Denmark international. Meanwhile, they will continue to monitor the likes of Matthijs de Ligt and Donny van de Beek, both of whom have been stunning for Ajax Amsterdam this year. Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is another player who will be kept a close eye on.
