Transfer rumours

Sergio Ramos and Zinedine Zidane decide on five transfers for Real Madrid to pursue

With Real Madrid edging closer to what will be a defining transfer window, Ramos and Zidane have agreed upon some signings with Perez.

Real Madrid are now just three matches away and 270 footballing minutes from closing the book on a season that is certainly meant to be forgotten. The Whites have been rinsed by nearly every opponent this time out and their only option of a recovery is by making signings, which seems inevitable once the transfer period begins.

According to Diario GOL, Sergio Ramos and Zinedine Zidane have now decided upon five targets in association with Florentino Perez, for the club to sign during the summer. The first priority is Eden Hazard, who seems to be moving to Spain from next season. Los Blancos are looking to close his deal soon at a transfer fee worth 120 million euros.

The second plan on the to-do list is the signing of a striker to compliment Karim Benzema. While the Frenchman has had a blockbuster campaign in front of goal, Real Madrid need another consistent goal scorer and Luka Jovic is the chosen option. The Serbian already has one foot in the Santiago Bernabeu after saying no to Barcelona.

Marcelo has not had the best of seasons, but his minutes continue to prevail under the order of Zinedine Zidane. The Frenchman will probably not rely on Sergio Reguilon from the next season and will need a left back to provide competition to Marcelo. Ferland Mendy of Lyon is the likely player to arrive and he would cost the Merengues 40 million euros.

Paul Pogba’s transfer is on Zidane’s wish-list, but Ramos and Perez are not huge fans of the Manchester United midfielder. That said, Mino Raiola’s worldwide transfer ban may complicate matters for Pogba and thus, Real Madrid have decided to pursue a move for Christian Eriksen, who they hope to purchase for 100 million euros.

Lastly, Florentino Perez will attempt to sign Neymar. The Br azil international is not in the good books of Zidane and Ramos, but the President believes that Neymar could not only help the club’s on-field successes rebuild, but would also be vital from an off-field standpoint given his high marketability which is arguably eclipsed by just Messi and Ronaldo.
