'It's done!': James Rodriguez's loan from Real Madrid to Napoli complete… with 'deal set to be worth over €100m'

Real Madrid outcast James Rodriguez has sealed an initial loan deal to Serie A side Napoli that could be worth more than €100million  (£89m), according to Corriere dello Sport.

The paper reports that the move has been confirmed, but both clubs are remaining silent on the matter for the moment.

Rodriguez has spent the past two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich after falling out of favour in Spain, but the Bavarians declined to make the move permanent.

That has paved the way for the Colombian to reunite with his former boss Carlo Ancelotti in Italy with the total package of the deal, including wages, signing-on fees and future transfer fee, set to total more than £89m.

Rodriguez made 111 appearances and scored 36 goals for Real Madrid after joining for £63m from Monaco in 2014.

While has returned from Germany, Zinedine Zidane's moves for Luka Jovic and Eden Hazard means that Rodriguez will have no place in his squad going forward.

Real Madrid had hoped to sell the 27-year-old permanently but were unable to find a club willing to stump up the transfer fee and wages required.
