Ferland Mendy gave a thumbs up to the cameras as he underwent his Real Madrid medical ahead of sealing a £49million move.
The 24-year-old will be unveiled in front of supporters at the Santiago Bernabeu later on Wednesday once the formalities of his move from Lyon are concluded.
He will sign a six-year contract and becomes the latest signing as he joins Eder Militao, Eden Hazard, Rodrygo and Luka Jovic in moving to Zinedine Zidane's side since the end of the season.
After a disappointing campaign saw them finish without a trophy, Zidane was determined to undertake a major overhaul of the squad to close the gap on rivals.
Mendy has spent just two seasons at Lyon after joining from Le Havre in 2017, making 79 appearances and scoring three times.
He earned his first senior call-up for the French team in November 2018, making his debut against Uruguay.
He was in Didier Deschamps' squad for this month's fixtures with Turkey and Andorra.
With Marcelo seemingly out of favour since Zidane returned to take over from Santiago Solari, Mendy will look to establish himself as a starting left back next season.
