Benfica are on the verge of pulling off a double swoop from Real Madrid, with keeper Keylor Navas set to follow Raul de Tomas to Lisbon.
Navas has found playing time limited at the Bernabeu since Thibaut Courtois arrived at the club last summer, featuring just 10 times in La Liga.
According to a report from Portuguese outlet A Bola, club president Luis Filipe Vieira is using a trip to Madrid to get both transfers over the line.
But even if the clubs agree a deal, Benfica could still face a stumbling block in offering Navas a salary that compares with his existing deal in the Spanish capital.
Should Navas move to Portugal, it would pave the way for Zinedine Zidane's son Luca to make the step up to No 2 behind Courtois next season.
The 21-year-old has two first-team games in La Liga to his name, with the last coming in a 3-2 win over Huesca in March.
Although Navas featured in seven matches after Zinedine Zidane returned to Madrid as manager late last season, reports suggest that the goalkeeper has been told he is not part of the club's future plans.
The Costa Rica keeper joined Madrid shortly after starring at the 2014 World Cup and played a key role in helping the Spanish giants win three Champions League titles.
Benfica's move for Navas comes following a failed pursuit of Jasper Cillessen from Barcelona.
Hopes of a move for the Nou Camp's No 2 stopper quickly faded with Valencia emerging as front runners to land the Dutchman.
