Real Madrid announced that striker Raul de Tomas has been sold to Benfica.
Real Madrid C. F. and SL Benfica have reached an agreement for the transfer of Raúl de Tomás.
The club wish to thank Raúl de Tomás for his commitment since joining the youth team, and wish him all the very best in this new chapter.

De Tomas performed very well for Rayo Vallecano last season and proved to be a decent striker. However, the signing of Luka Jovic quite simply meant that he had no room in Real Madrid’s squad. While it’s a bit of a shame that De Tomas never had a chance to prove his worth in the first team, €20 million is definitely a good price knowing that Madrid need to sell some players and that De Tomas currently lacks the experience to play on a consistent basis for elite teams.
It will be interesting to see what he can do in the Portuguese league.
