Real Madrid published a medical report about Benjamin Mendy, who completed a solid performance against Arsenal but will need to miss the next couple of weeks with a calf injury.
Following tests carried out on our player Ferland Mendy by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscular injury to the anterior part of his right calf. His recovery will continue to be assessed.
This is not a serious injury but an unlucky one, given that Mendy needed as many minutes as he could possibly get to get used to his new team and prove that he can compete with Marcelo for a spot in the starting lineup. Instead, he will be behind schedule when he recovers and will need the first few weeks after his injury to get in good shape and improve his conditioning.
Expect Mendy to be back with the squad in two weeks time, given that there’s no need to rush him.
