A lot has been already said about Real Madrid’s much-needed revolution.
Los Blancos were supposed to revamp their whole squad during the summer and in many ways, certain moves were pulled and many new faces ended up donning the royal white of the Galacticos.
But for all the money that was spent, the big Madrid revolution never arrived.
Of course, for that revamp to be complete and successful, a true Galactico signing is needed to lead the way.
And at the moment, the only player that interests Florentino Perez is none other than Kylian Mbappe. The 20-year-old prodigy is a name well-known to the footballing world and AS have recently come out with a story that states Real Madrid have a crazy plan to bring him to the Spanish capital.
Needless to say, signing Mbappe would be more than just a slightly costly matter. The French giants are would aim to sell their prized asset for an eye-watering €300m (£242m), a sum that would bleed even the most financially blessed club of the entirety of their transfer budget.
And what of other areas that would potentially need covering? Well, Real have thought of that too, as it turns out.
AS state that they would be willing to recall five of their on-loan players back to the Spanish capital to complete their team revamp with basically no expenses other than that huge Mbappe signing.
Currently, the players who could potentially be making their big returns in 2020 are Sergio Reguilon, Martin Odegaard, Achraf Hakimi, Takefusa Kubo and Dani Ceballos – all young and all doing well in their temporary homes.
Of course, that plan sounds rather underwhelming at first but it’s one that just might work.
Zinedine Zidane would reinforce at least three major positions with those five loanees as Reguilon and Hakimi play left-back and right-back respectively, while the other three are midfielders by trade.
Mbappe would then complete the jigsaw as he would slot right into the forward line, providing Real with the Galactico spearhead they’ve been craving since Ronaldo departed.
Getting the loanees back to the club sounds easy enough but can Real Madrid actually snatch the young Frenchman away from Paris Saint-Germain?
