Real Madrid Make Transfer Decision On Brahim Diaz & Mariano Diaz

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to cash in on the duo of Brahim Diaz and Mariano Diaz in the upcoming January transfer window.

According to a report by Marca, Real Madrid are preparing for life without Mariano Diaz. The ex-Lyon forward has been included in the club’s transfer list and a January exit could be on the horizon. The Spanish publications also claim that Real Madrid are ready to let Brahim Diaz leave Santiago Bernabeu on loan.

The former Manchester City starlet has reportedly managed to impress coach Zinedine Zidane. But, the Frenchman is aware that the youngster may not receive regular opportunities given the depth Real Madrid have, in the creative department. As a result, he is willing to let Brahim leave the club on loan in search of regular game-time.

It’s a sensible and matured decision from Zidane as the 20-year-old is truly an exciting youngster, who is capable of making an impact at the highest level of football. Since arriving from Etihad at the start of this year, the youngster has only mustered ten La Liga appearances.

But, a more prominent first-team role in any other Spanish club should help him gain some much-needed experience. And with the likes of Toni Kroos, Isco and Luka Modric struggling with form, Brahim could have a real chance of making a breakthrough at Real Madrid in the future.

As for Mariano, he could be good riddance for Los Blancos. The Dominican forward returned to Bernebeu last summer after an incredibly successful spell in France with Lyon. He was shockingly awarded as the number seven shirt as well, following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.

But, Diaz did very little justice to the faith put by the Real Madrid board as he struggled with injuries and failed to integrate himself to the tactical plan of coaches like Julen Lopetegui, Santiago Solari and most of all, Zidane, who does not consider the forward as part of his plans.

In fact, Mariano mustered just over 400 minutes of league football this season. He was notably linked with a summer exit to the Premier League as well but a move didn’t materialise. Nevertheless, January could be an ideal time for the forward to leave and try to revive career following a dire spell at Bernabeu.

A return to Lyon could be on the cards if the French end up losing Mousa Dembele in January. A move to Bundesliga might not be a bad idea either, with Bayern Munich, in particular, keen on signing a backup for Robert Lewandowski.
