Isco drops a transfer bombshell as he nears Real Madrid exit

Real Madrid playmaker Isco has dropped a transfer bombshell as he continues to be linked with a move away from Real Madrid.

Isco for quite a long time has been admired for his playmaking qualities by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola. The Spanish midfielder has been linked to the England champions for years now after never really being a regular starter for Los Blancos.

According to Eldesmarque, Isco Alarcon and his wife have reportedly contacted a real estate company and have begun apartment hunting in Manchester. They had contacted the same real estate agency last summer when Isco came extremely close to sealing a move to Chelsea. The 27-year-old was also close to leaving Real in July but no agreement was reached with Arsenal. The Spaniard is a terrific player and has produced some fine performances in the Real shirt but has never been able to win a starting spot completely.

When Isco moved to Real Madrid from Malaga, he was the golden boy, the player who was destined to be one of the best midfielders in the world but competition at Santiago Bernabeu was fierce. In 2016, when Zinedine Zidane assumed the managerial charge pundits expected him to make Isco the epicentre of Madrid’s midfield but instead the Frenchmen chose Luka Modric and Toni Kroos to orchestrate the play.

Since then the 27-year-old has been linked numerous times with a move to England. Chelsea and Arsenal came close to signing the ex Malaga man but the future of Isco is not in London but in Manchester. The report further added that the player has already had talks with Real Madrid, President Florentino Perez, over a possible move.

Isco knows that Pep Guardiola wants him in his Manchester City and hopes to sign for the  Citizens in the summer. City has not yet made any concrete offer for the Madrid magician, but it is expected that in the coming months there will be talks between clubs to sell to Isco Alarcon. Guardiola eyes Isco as a perfect successor to David Silva who is set to leave at the end of the season.

Isco falls into the elite category of creative midfielders across Europe. The midfielder has been a phenomenal player for Real Madrid and Spain, with his ability to pick passes and play neat one-twos being good enough to take on the creative mantle at City. A player defined by practical dexterity, the Spaniard can keep the ball moving in the midfield and switch the play with his impressive range of passing.

The Spanish international not only provides a strong case as a Silva replacement but also guarantees help to Phil Foden to get all the talent he has in his boots since it is something that Isco has managed to do perfectly when he has been well physically.

More importantly, Real Madrid are keen on bringing either Christian Eriksen or Paul Pogba to the Bernabeu next summer. Isco might fall further deep down the pecking order once one of these megastars arrives at the club. Hence, Guardiola should do everything in his powers to sign the Real Madrid playmaker. The Spaniard is in the prime years of his career and would be the perfect replacement for his compatriot, David Silva.
