Br azilian starlet Reinier has reportedly passed his Real Madrid medical ahead of sealing an expected £30million move.
The teenager will pen a six-and-a-half-year contract with the La Liga giants, and the swoop is set to be announced on January 19 - the day when Reinier turns 18 years old.
And Marca believe that the highly-rated wonderkid will officially move to the Spanish capital on February 9 following his commitments with the Br azilian Olympic team.
The same publication report that Reinier had already undergone his medical checks while with his nation's Olympic side, and will soon seal a long-term deal to join Zinedine Zidane's title chasers.
The club's medical team travelled to examine their newest addition at Granja Comary, the headquarters of the Br azilian Football Confederation. Reinier has been based there while gearing up for Br azil's Under 23 clashes in Colombia.
The Bernabeu outfit are thought to have preferred Reinier to have made himself available immediately after the transfer was confirmed, but the Flamengo youth product remains an integral part of Br azil's push to qualify for the showpiece in Tokyo.
Reinier will likely don his new club's jersey for their Castilla side during the immediate future rather than the first-team, although the prodigy will be closely monitored by Zidane and his coaching staff.
Diario AS believe that Reinier, whose contract with Flamengo is set to expire this year, had requested that the club lower his buy-out clause as one of the conditions before agreeing to a new deal.
And Real have swooped in for yet another Br azilian youngster before his valuation drastically skyrocketed, with Reinier's buy-out expected to rise by five million euros this summer before then increasing by another 40 million in January 2021.
Despite fierce competition posed by domestic rivals Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, Zidane's side have hauled the transfer across the line - and Manchester City were also reportedly keeping a close eye on Reinier's development.
