Gareth Bale next club odds as Tottenham and Man Utd tipped to sign Wales star

The 31-year-old attacker has been completely ostracised by Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane in recent months.

Gareth Bale was back playing football last week in a sight all Wales fans will have loved to see.

Admittedly, the Real Madrid star was not at his swashbuckling best after finding game-time hard to come by in Spain amid a highly-public falling out with boss Zinedine Zidane.

Prior to Wales' Nations League games Bale sat down to hold an interview in which he claimed the Spanish giants stopped him leaving the club on more than one occasion, admitting that his future is up in the air in Madrid.

"I tried to leave last year and they blocked everything at the last second. It was a project I was excited for but it didn't materialise. There have been other instances where we have tried to go but the club won't allow it or they have done something," he told Sky Sports.

"So I guess it is for the club [to answer about what will happen]. What can I say? I want to play football. I am still motivated to play football so I guess it is on the club really. I can't do anything, they are in control of everything."

"I have a contract so all I can do is carry on what I am doing an hopefully something comes up."

"It is in the club's hands and they have made things very difficult to be honest."

Asked if he wanted a return to the Premier League, he said: "Like I said, it's not really in my hands. It's one of those situations where if those options arise it is something I would look at, for sure."

"We'll see what happens. We have plenty of time left in this transfer window, and I guess a couple of others as well."

"Time will tell but the decision is in Real Madrid's hands."

His time in the Spanish capital looks all but over; but where do the bookmakers think he'll end up when the transfer window closes early next month?

Former club Totteham are in pole position to land Bale if Madrid decide to part company with the Wales superstar before the deadline.

Spurs are heading the market on his next destination at 6-4 with Skybet. Manchester United are priced at 7-1, though he is just 11-2 to join a side in America's MLS.

A move to China, where Bale almost ended up last year, is priced at 33/1, the same odds as him reuniting with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus.
